George Lazaridis is a seasoned and award winning mortgage lending industry professional with over 25 years of experience. He has a passion for enhancing the borrowing process in new and innovative ways. George is currently the President and Chief Lending Officer of Quontic Mortgage Lending Division and is also on the board of directors. Lazaridis co-founded Quontic Bank alongside CEO Steven Schnall a decade ago, cultivated a growing network of mortgage lending offices to expand Quontic lending solutions in all 50 states. George is responsible for managing day-to-day activities of the mortgage lending division of the federally chartered bank, establishes the bank’s portfolio lending guidelines, and ensures that mortgage division staff is trained on products, pricing, mortgage compliance, underwriting guidelines, and operational and closing procedures. Prior to Quontic, George served as Senior Vice President/Branch Manager at Prospect Mortgage Corporation (formerly The New York Mortgage Company) managing a staff of 80 employees, personally funding over $100 million in residential, small mixed use and multi-family loans in 2006, 2007 and 2008. George received top producer awards for each year from 2002 through 2008. Additionally, he served as Vice President for the Lyons Mortgage Services funding over $75 million in loan originations, recruiting and supervising all lending staff, and increased overall sales productivity by 300% during the year 2000. George also served as Group Senior Loan Officer for Cambridge Mortgage Group, earning recognition as a Presidents’ Club Member for each year of service. As an esteemed mortgage expert, he is frequently interviewed and quoted in the media for his insight.
